大摩的故事可以追溯到13世紀，當時Clan Mackenzie家族因拯救蘇格蘭國王亞歷山大三世而獲授象徵榮耀與勇氣的「十二叉鹿首徽章」，也成了品牌的精神源頭。
大摩於1839年創立、1867年由家族接手後，便以勇敢、大膽與不妥協為底氣，打造能被時間記住的威士忌。
